The Open Science Fair 2025 took place from 15 to 17 September at CERN in Geneva, highlighting the power of global and cross-regional partnerships in shaping the future of Open Science. The event emphasised that meaningful progress required collaboration beyond borders, disciplines, and institutions, uniting diverse perspectives to drive change.
This year’s edition was focused on how varied forms of collaboration could accelerate discovery, improve knowledge accessibility, and create a more transparent and equitable research ecosystem. By fostering open and inclusive cooperation across continents, the event demonstrated how a stronger, more connected scientific community could be built.
On 15 September, as part of the event, Stefania Amodeo (OpenAIRE) presented a poster summarising a policy brief on TIER2’s contributions to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The poster highlighted how the project addressed the reproducibility crisis in modern science, tackling challenges related to transparency, data management, and methodological consistency. It showcased eight strategic pilot activities that developed practical tools and methodologies for managing digital research objects across their lifecycle — from collection and analysis to publication and long-term preservation.
